So this Saturday, join us for an Ornamental Penmanship workshop! A workshop like this won't come around again; or maybe it will, but I don't know how often he'll visit Utah, being from Vietnam. Details? This isn't a beginner class. If you're a beginner, you're still welcome, but Hoang won't be covering beginning details like how to put your nib into a flange or how to orient your pen properly to the page. He'll be focusing on the letterforms, so basic knowledge of using a pointed pen is required. I don't know if you know a whole lot about my personal history, but a large part of what got me interested in pointed pen and calligraphy in general was inheriting an exemplar book from my great-great grandfather. My great-great Wilfred Anderson had written various notes and scrawlings. Best of all, he wrote his family tree on the back of one of the exemplar pages.
