It was so fun to meet up with other creatives & see some old painting & drawing pals last night at the
Creative Collaborative. I'll be honest, I hadn't planned what I was going to talk about, so I was a little scatter-brained. All-in-all it went well, though.
CJane was inspiring, too. I wore these earrings last night. Earrings that I made in about 2 seconds, inspired by
Jenn's geometric painted blocks and this
Clare Vivier hot pink clutch (

These earrings are the easiest on the face of the planet to make. Want the full DIY? Here we go.

- You'll want to cut out your leather to the desired shape. I decided on a circle.
- Glue the leather onto the posts.
- Allow glue to set/cool.
- Paint geometric asymmetrical shapes with contrasting colors
- Wear.

Wasn't that a breeze? Now go make a million for all of your earring-wearing girlfriends. Aren't my shoes hot? They have snake-skin details on 'em & they matched my earrings rather well. My sister-in-law took this pic last night.
Here's the full outfit from last night.
