Last Month's Salt & Honey Workshop
April 25, 2016Teaching calligraphy is my jam. I truly love igniting that passion for letters in other people and helping them understand how letter forms work, how the materials work together and helping them explore their own identity through letters and words. Teaching online is pretty much all I do these days, but I jump at any chance I have to teach in-person. If you've missed my live classes, check out calligraphy.org. It's the next best thing to an in-person class because you get personal coaching from me and my co-calligrapher, Erika. We love what we do.
Last month's Salt & Honey workshop was a blast. We had a great time in such a gorgeous space with amazing food provided by The Patisserie. My mouth is watering and I have a sudden craving for toasted coconut cake just thinking about it.
Want more Salt & Honey? Their spring market is this weekend! Details here.
Each guest got a custom pouch packed with all the essentials.
And of course a place card with their name written on it in rose gold. Naturally.
Those cakes were divine. I may have had a couple slices. Of each.
We had a dude show up!! Haha. Usually I have one. Guys who sign up for calligraphy workshops are very smart. They get to learn something new and they're always outnumbered. ;)
I was just so impressed at how passionate everyone was about letters, how much they learned in such a short time and how many beautiful marks were made!
