Another Poopy Clutch

I’m sick of my old purple poopy clutch, so while I was making a few of these things for baby gifts, I whipped one up for myself. Seriously, if you’re in the market to make a diaper & wipes case – MAKE THIS ONE. Not just because I want to toot my own horn, but because of all the portable wipes cases I’ve had in the past, this one by far is the cutest & most practical.

I love the grey patent leather. I’m thinking when I get brave enough, I’ll draw on the leather and add fun textural details to it.

On an exciting note, I was just floored & extatic to see Craftzine feature this tutorial! Since I started to get serious about tutorials on this blog about 3 years ago, it’s been a pipe dream of mine to be featured there. It put a HUGE smile on my face last weekend to see it pop up there.

Another thing – Poopy is not a typo. This clutch is called the poopy clutch (not poppy) after it’s original purpose – cleaning up after poopy diapers. I agree, though, it makes a fun clutch for going out on the town – this tutorial does not require diapers or kids. ;)

I love that you had to distinguish between a poopy clutch and a poppy clutch. Hilarious.

    2. Funny the things your computer things are typos. Poopsplosion isn’t a typo, either. Although I sortof wish it was.

    3. You made this?! I am totally impressed. Hello Etsy shop purchase! Do you have one?

That is SOOO awesome that you were on Studio 5! Congrats!
I’ve been on that set before (not because I’m famous) and I thought the “stained glass” was interesting. Funny how different it looks in person vs. on tv.

It put a huge smile on MY face to know that your “pipedream” came true. Doesn’t surprise me at all. Darling design, wonderful of you to share! By the way, you did a great job on Studio 5. It was my introduction to you and your wonderful abilities!

      Thanks for sharing! Janet

This is adorable! I don’t have any kids, but babysit, and would be proud to carry this around!

    8. I love it!
It would be fun to make it an 8 1/2 x 11 so I could store all my papers in it.

I love this clutch and plan to make some for baby shower gifts. How did you line your original “Poopy Clutch”? Sew or glue? I’m not sure how to do it. Thanks..
