Two days ago, my sister-in-law and I went to D. I. to search for some new vintage dresses. Shelley truly has the eye for finding sweet stuff! I had a hard time not buying all of the dresses I tried on and this particular dress is just awesome. It’s sheer, flowy and ruffly; perfect for all of the latest summer fashions. One problem, it had bishop sleeves and I have a hard time pulling them off.
In just a few minutes, I chopped the sleeve off and made a short pleated sleeve. I’ve fallen in love all over again with my new summer dress. The best part?!? This entire ensemble was under $15:
Dress: $4 (Deseret Industries)
Belt: $9 (Forever 21)
Shoes: Free (Payless–won them on a giveaway)
I love the outfit! And such an amazing price/find(s)! Good job :)
Thanks!! What girl doesn’t love a good deal, right?
That’s awesome what you did with the sleeves, though I doubt that there’s anything you can’t pull off.
That is awesome! Good find and good fix!
I think you might be the cutest person I’ve ever seen. And that dress is super cute! The sleeves were the first thing I noticed before I even read it. Good job! Although, I do think anything would look good on you somehow.
Oh how I wish we had DI here… CCA ReSale and our local Goodwill just aren’t cutting it! I have to drive a bit to get to the good Goodwill. BTW, Great dress find!
Wow. You are the queen of thrift shopping. It really does take a certain kind of vision… Once again I am impressed :)
Thats adorable!

You look absolutely lovely. I found you via Design Mom and she’s right you’re outfit rocks. I have those shoes and love them!
Wow. I just bought a shirt that looks almost like that at Banana Republic for sixty bucks. Yours looks better.
