Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you’re spending your holiday surrounded the love of family & friends!
I was thinking in the wee hours last night of making a great heart-shaped breakfast for Christopher, but I completely failed to do it this morning. I could have, but I just forgot! I do love my husband even though I fail to do special things for him sometimes.
Two weeks ago my sister gave me a box of formula samples that came to her door. Inside the box were little cardboard filler boxes to keep the two canisters in place. I just about discarded them, when I thought how lovely they’d be for holding a small set of cards. Completely inspired by Mer Mag’s color theory valentine’s, I thought I’d make a little bit of stationery to fit in those boxes.
I used my mini heart stamp & stamped like a crazy lady yesterday. It took me about an hour to cut, score, fold & stamp 12 cards and then another half hour to design & cut out matching envelopes (on my Silhouette). I made three little boxes full of stationery in relatively no time & I’m quite pleased with how they turned out.
I plan on keeping one of the sets for myself, but the other two? I’d like to give them away. To two of you. See. . . I love blogging. It’s been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done, and you? Thanks to all of you who have commented on this blog. Your encouragement & kind words don’t go unnoticed. Ever.
So, just leave a comment (perhaps telling me what your plans are – or aren’t – for Valentine’s day) and I’ll announce two winners tomorrow. Here are the official details:
- Leave a comment, any comment

what a sweet little valentine giveaway! can’t wait to see that little cutie of yours!
So cute! Thanks for the chance!!
I will be doing homework and eagerly awaiting my sweethearts return from work with some late night champagne and heart cookies awaiting. Probably, throw in some homemade card exchanging. :) <3
Well, Feb. 14th is a prime night to babysit :) And that’s what I’m doing…
These are adorable! I spent the day hanging out with friends/family and taking my newly rescued bunny to her first vet visit.
I love that you saved things like the cardboard. My mom taught me to do things like that but I don’t always use them and end up throwing them away….
Good for you for being so proactive!
Our little family did a fun V-day scavenger hunt. My boys love that kinda thing and we made heart shaped pizzas…even the pepperoni was heart shaped!!
V-day brought homemade whole wheat chocolate cookies to share with the office, a stocking (yes, a Christmas stocking) full of little favorite things, a walk with a good friend, and homemade dinner. All very wonderful.
For Valentine’s Day, I went out to dinner with my husband and then we exchanged handmade gifts.
would love to win!
I don’t have anything special planned for Valentine’s Day, just spending the day with my family. Love the cards!
Your blog is absolutely lovely and inspiring! I’m not really sure how I came across it in the first place, but I have been reading for a few months now and I enjoy all of your writing and crafting. Best wishes for a swift delivery for your newest addition :)
Nice giveaway, thank you for thinking of your fans!
